Duque extended term for temporary internment of Venezuelan vehicles.

The president of Colombia indicated that the measure will be valid until June 2020

Iván Duque, president of Colombia, informed on Friday that he signed a decree that will allow extending the deadline to carry out the procedure that allows the entry of vehicles with a Venezuelan license plate into the territory of said country.

“I signed Decree 2.453 that extends the deadline for processing temporary admission of vehicles with registration of Venezuela or the renewal of the same in the Special Border Development Units,” he said via Twitter.

In addition, he noted that the measure to do the procedure for the first time or renew it will be valid until June 2020.

On December 27, 2017, Decree 2.229 was applied, which contemplated the conditions, terms and requirements to authorize the temporary admission of Venezuelan vehicles to residents of the Special Border Development Units (UEDF) in Colombia.

At that time, it was explained that the vehicles that are internalized can only be used for particular uses.
